ScamSignal is an educational tool that analyzes suspicious messages for potential scam indicators using artificial intelligence. The service provides educational information about common scam patterns and techniques based on data from official fraud reporting agencies.
ScamSignal provides educational information and is NOT a substitute for professional legal, financial, or law enforcement advice. Analysis results are AI-generated assessments and not definitive determinations of fraud or legitimacy.
A "legitimate" verdict does not guarantee that a message is safe or trustworthy. A "scam" verdict does not constitute legal proof of fraud and should not be used as evidence in legal proceedings without corroboration. Always exercise your own judgment and consult with qualified professionals when in doubt.

The free tier of ScamSignal includes limited analyses per day. Analysis results are cached for 1 hour to enable sharing and reduce redundant processing. Rate limits may be adjusted without notice based on service capacity and abuse patterns.
API access for commercial use, higher rate limits, or enterprise deployments requires a separate commercial agreement. Contact us for licensing inquiries.
The ScamSignal pattern library, detection methodology, and educational content are proprietary. Source data citations, including information from the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and other official agencies, are attributed to their respective organizations.
You may share individual analysis results through the provided share URL feature. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute ScamSignal's methodology or proprietary detection patterns without explicit written permission.
ScamSignal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not liable for decisions or actions you take based on analysis results provided by the service.
We do not guarantee detection of all scam types or variants. Service availability and uptime are not guaranteed. In no event shall ScamSignal be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ScamSignal and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, violation of these terms, or misuse of analysis results to create, facilitate, or promote scams.
We may suspend or terminate your access to ScamSignal for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or harmful use of the service. You may stop using ScamSignal at any time by ceasing to access the service. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware for resolution of any disputes.
